The case for natural treatment
Each person is unique and can react differently to chemicals. Although the FDA requires testing before the product is approved, it can’t foresee potential problems in every individual.
Ladibugs natural alternatives are proven effective without fear of any harmful side effects. The National Pediculosis Association (NPA) warns there are many instances chemical head lice products should not be used.
In general, children’s growing bodies are far less able to process these chemicals. They have less developed immune systems, their detoxification processes are not yet developed and their organs are still growing. This makes them far more susceptible and sensitive to the toxic threats of pesticides like Lindane, Malathion and Permethrin.
Resistance to chemical treatments
As the lice build up a resistance to the different chemicals, many chemical-laden lice treatment products become less effective against head lice.
Resistance is caused when the person is infected with 1 or 2 adult lice who are naturally resistant to the chemical and do not die. These 2 adults then reproduce and you have a whole new batch of lice that are resistant to that chemical.
When you re-treat with the same product, it is not effective on the new super breed of lice.
